Global Women Ambassadors for Africa is a not for profit organization that is in the forefront of eradication of Violence against Women. The Organization also empower women and Youths and celebrate Women in Leadership positions.
The Mission of GWAA is to educate the populace on Violence against Women, provide life skills training and proffer solutions to common marital challenges through practical, basic, culturally sensitive approaches.
We organize workshops, leadership training, empowerment/life skills programs for women, youths and run specialized training for men.
As violence against women is not recognized as such in many African communities, GWAA embarks on different specialized programs for different sets of population to ensure that Domestic Violence does not have its place in our communites any longer. To achieve this, we run different types of training such as:
'Educate and Eradicate' This training is for men. As the name implies, we reach out to the men to give them information about what abuse entails and the effects on their women, with the aim of reaching and changing their hearts positively.
'Ready and Able' is the educative program for Youths. As we know that Youths are the ready/booming market for relationships, giving them necessary training at that stage is a recipe for eradication of violence against women. Though they may have been exposed to different domestic violence from their parents or communities, they are taught to believe that they are 'Able' to unlearn those negative ways of life and shun domestic violence.
'Young and Yearning'. This program focuses on catching them young. This is designed for kids who are still growing up. Their minds are like sponges soacking information and knowledge for their later years. Early implantation of the message of Non-Violence Against Women in their minds is a winner and saves the whole community a lot of stress when they grow up.
Our Life Skills programs include but are not limited to trainings that can improve the living standards of families. Improve relationships between couples and generally ensure that foundations of families are strong.
Those life skills programs include Fashion, Make up, Conflict Resolution, Home decor, Tailoring, Trading, Farming etc.

This blog will deal with issues pertaining to women generally. We will celebrate successes of women and different challenges faced by women daily from abuse to maintaining happiness in homes. As our aim is to foster peace in homes, we will not exclude men in our trainings because that will result in teaching women and girls to be good home keepers while men are left untrained thereby negating the results of whatever trainings the women and girls may have.
